Core football betting markets
| Market | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 1X2 | Home win / draw / away win. |
| Double chance | Two of the three 1X2 outcomes combined. |
| Over/Under | Whether a statistic such as total goals is above or below a line. |
| BTTS | Whether both teams score. |
| Handicap | A virtual advantage/disadvantage applied for settlement. |
| Correct score | Predict the exact final score; typically a higher-variance market. |
Worked odds example
At decimal odds of 2.40, a R$20 winning stake returns R$48 gross. The profit is R$28 because the R$20 stake is included in the gross return.
Accumulator risk grows quickly
Multiplying several selections can increase the displayed payout, but every leg must generally win for the accumulator to settle as a winner. More legs mean more ways for the bet to lose.
Settlement rules matter
Check how abandoned matches, postponed fixtures, extra time, penalties and void selections are handled. Market labels that look similar can settle differently across operators.
Brazil-specific availability
Current Brazil regulation prohibits fixed-odds betting nationwide under MP 1.394/2026, so this page is educational and should not be read as a claim that football betting is currently available there.
